Yes, technically it’s still summer, and it will be a couple of months before it really starts to get cold, but that’s why now is such a good time to start thinking about home improvements your clients might need to get them through the winter. By the time their pipes have frozen or the furnace breaks, it will be a little too late.

While there are some things homeowners can do themselves, like scheduling a heating system tune-up, others projects are probably a little more involved than what they want to tackle, such as replacing old single pane windows with double panes. You can also add insulation for them or install storm doors to help keep the warm air in and the cold air out.

Clients will certainly appreciate you suggesting these ways to help them find the small problems now so they can avoid paying big bucks later, and they’ll probably be more than happy to let you do some of the work for them.
